Connecting your account and syncing projects across devices
Your projects live on your account, not on one computer. Here is how the syncing works and what to expect when you move between machines.
What syncs, and when
StackDesign saves your project to your account as you work - there is no Save button to remember. Your materials library, hardware library and Systainer inventory are saved at the account level too: enter them once and every project, on every computer you sign in from, sees the same set.
Signing in on another computer
- Open the site in any modern browser
on a computer or tablet. There is nothing to install.
- Sign in the way you usually do
- with Google, with your email and password, or with an emailed sign-in link.
- Open the planner.
Your projects, materials and inventory are already there.
One signed-in browser at a time
To protect your account, each tool keeps one signed-in browser at a time. When you sign in on a second machine, the first one signs out and says so plainly: "you were signed out because you signed in elsewhere." That is the system working, not a fault - your project saved as you worked, so nothing is lost. Sign back in on whichever machine you want to keep using.
